Arsenal fans have been protesting against owner Stan Kroenke – and a potential alternative is emerging.
Kroenke hasn’t been popular for some time now, but last week’s attempts to drag the Gunners into the European Super League have been the final straw for many fans.
Fans want to see the American sell up and move on, and Daniel Ek is emerging as the favourite to purchase the club if it becomes available.
Ek is the founder of Spotify, and took to Twitter on Friday to state that he is a boyhood Arsenal fan and would be interested in a takeover.
Some wondered whether that was just a publicity stunt, but The Telegraph now claim that Ek is forming quite the plan.
They state that Ek is joining forces with Arsenal legends Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry as part of a takeover bid.

The trio were part of Arsenal’s Invincibles side, and bringing them back to the club to spark a new era could give fans what they want after the frustration under Kroenke.
Fans have been taking to Twitter to react, suggesting that the plan is ‘perfect’ whilst fearing that Ek is giving fans false hope.
Others admitted to having tears in their eyes at a potential return for the Arsenal trio, begging for the rumour to be true as they would be ‘buzzing’ with it becoming a reality.
