RB Leipzig dumped Manchester United out of the Champions League on Tuesday night as they beat the Red Devils 3-2.

United needed a positive result to go through, but fell apart in the first 13 minutes as Angelino and Amadou Haidara found the net.

Justin Kluivert made it 3-0, and whilst Bruno Fernandes and an Ibrahima Konate own goal gave United hope, Leipzig saw out the game to dump United out.

United are now facing up to life in the Europa League once again, whilst Leipzig will now be a threat to all teams in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

The Bundesliga side have a number of players attracting major interest, including playmaker Christopher Nkunku.

The Frenchman has been a creative force for Leipzig since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, and he seems to be a man in demand.

Sport Bild reported last month that Arsenal want to sign Nkunku for around £36million to solve their creativity issues, having missed out on him when Unai Emery wanted him in 2019.

Some Arsenal fans were blown away by Nkunku last night, suggesting that he is exactly what Arsenal, with some wanting him signed if Dominik Szoboszlai joins Leipzig.

Others believe Emery was right all along having identified Nkunku as a top target, and are wondering just why Arsenal didn’t bring him to North London.
