Arsenal lost 2-1 to Watford on Saturday to fall further off the pace in the Premier League.

Arsenal headed into Saturday’s clash against Watford in confident mood, having impressed prior to the international break.
However, when the full-time whistle blew the Gunners were left to rue missed opportunities as the Hornets ran out 2-1 winners, with Tom Cleverley scoring the deciding goal two minutes into injury-time.

It was a bitter blow for an Arsenal team that wold have been hoping to keep pace with the Manchester clubs and North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, with with just 13 points from a possible 24, Arsene Wenger’s side are already at risk of being also-rans this time round.
With international break fatigue potentially playing a part, Arsenal had few impressive performers on the day, but youngster Alex Iwobi generated his fair share of praise among the supporters, even if he too was a somewhat divisive figure.

The 21-year-old is no longer a promising teenager and he will be expected to justify his inclusion with impactful performances in the coming months.
The Nigerian international missed a fine chance to get on the score sheet for Arsenal and he needs to work on his finishing to really make a name for himself at the Emirates Stadium in the years ahead.
