Arsenal thumped their London rivals on Saturday evening.

Arsenal fans seemed smitten with one of their summer signings on Saturday evening.
The Gunners thrashed Chelsea 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium in a win which ensures that Arsene Wenger’s side stay five points behind top-of-the-table Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League standings.
With all three goals scored in the first half, it was an electric attacking display from Arsenal as goals from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil did the damage.

But a lot of Arsenal fans were also impressed at what happened at the other end, in which centre-back pairing Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi expertly kept Diego Costa in check throughout the 90 minutes.
Many supporters were particularly happy with Mustafi, who joined the North London club for £35 million in the final days of the summer transfer window.

The Germany international is becoming a popual figure in the red half of London, and fans were quick to pay their tributes to the tough-tackling, no-nonsense defender.
That being said, he has only managed a handful of games for Arsenal so far. Negative judgements would be premature, meaning that the positive ones also may be a bit early.
He has certainly made good first impressions, and he seems like the real deal, but time will tell whether Gunners supporters are justified in their assessments.
