Tottenham got the better of Madrid 3-1 with ease at home in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side took the lead on 27 minutes when England international midfielder Dele Alli found the net.
The former Milton Keynes Dons youngster doubled the advantage for Spurs on 56 minutes, and Christian Eriksen made it 3-0 in the 65th minute.
Cristiano Ronaldo pulled one back for Madrid 10 minutes from full time, but there was no comeback for Zinedine Zidane’s side at the Wembley Stadium in London.
The win against Madrid means that Spurs have progressed to the last-16 round of the Champions League from Group H.
Arsenal are Spurs’ bitter North London rivals and are playing in the Europa League this season, and their fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the win for Pochettino’s team against Madrid.
