Arsenal fans on Twitter were not surprised to see that Tottenham had been knocked out of the FA Cup following their 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon [BBC Sport].

On Friday, Unai Emery’s men suffered the same fate when Manchester United’s counter-attacking display knocked the Gunners out of the oldest cup competition in the world [BBC Sport].

Now, their north London neighbours are out of the hat for the next round, with Conor Wickham and an Andros Townsend penalty sending them out of two cup competitions within the space four days.

On Thursday, they were beaten on penalties by London rivals Chelsea, who booked their place in the final of the Carabao Cup after overturning a one-goal deficit from the first-leg.

One Arsenal fan claimed that Spurs getting knocked out of two competitions within a week ‘helps’ him getting over his side’s exit to United and another pointed towards them getting their ‘DVD out’.

While another Gunners supporter reminded them about how long it has been since their bitter rivals last lifted some silverware, claiming it has been ‘3991 days’ since their League Cup triumph.

Here is a selection of Arsenal fans rinsing Tottenham on Twitter following their FA Cup exit:

Pochettino, who is without injured attacking duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli, will now focus his attention on the Premier League and the visit of Watford on Wednesday night.

That match will start a sequence of four home matches on the bounce, with Newcastle visiting three days later then Leicester City before that all-important first-leg Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund.
