Jude Bellingham’s career took another huge step forward on Tuesday, as he was handed his first England senior cap.

The 17-year-old emerged at Birmingham City, but made a huge move over the summer as he joined Borussia Dortmund for £25million.

Bellingham is still establishing himself at Dortmund, but has already made 11 appearances in all competitions, grabbing one goal and two assists.

He has now earned his first called up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad, summing up just how highly rated the midfielder is by the England setup.

Dortmund weren’t the only club interested in signing Bellingham, and Tony Adams now claims that Arsenal missed out on the teenager.

Adams claims that Arsenal’s chief scout was mad about signing Bellingham, viewing him as a top target before a ‘done deal’ fell through.

Adams suggests that the arrival of Edu as technical director meant that Bellingham got lost in the shuffle in 2019 – and Arsenal fans aren’t impressed.

Some believe that Edu should be sacked for missing out on Bellingham, turning on the Brazilian by suggesting that he is out of his depth and has bottled too many big deals.

Others are praying that it isn’t true, believing that Arsenal have missed out on a huge talent by scrapping the move for Bellingham.
