Arsenal beat Southampton 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Two new faces graced Arsenal’s first XI on Saturday as the Gunners left it late to beat Southampton at the Emirates.
Santi Cazorla converted a controversial stoppage-time penalty to secure a very hard-fought 2-1 win for the hosts.
Laurent Koscielny equalised shortly before the half-hour mark after Petr Cech’s unfortunate own goal on 18 minutes. It was far from vintage Arsenal, but Wenger’s side emerged with the three points despite a sluggish showing.

Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez lined up in the XI for the first time since their late moves to North London, with Mustafi – a £35 million signing from Valencia – starting in defence, while £17 million striker Perez spearheaded the attack.
It seemed to be an okay debut for the duo. Solid if unspectacular pretty much sums it up, and Arsenal fans did not have any bad words to say about the pair on Twitter afterwards.
