Arsenal snatched a dramatic late victory away to Burnley on Sunday courtesy of a 93rd-minute goal from centre-back Laurent Koscielny.

The Clarets looked like holding out for a well-deserved point but the French international had other ideas, scoring the goal that maintained the Gunners’ superb recent record at home and abroad.

With time running out Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger must have thought it was not going to be his day, yet he must take credit for making two substitutions that helped turn the tide in the visitors’ favour.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mohamed Elneny both came off the bench in the 71st minute and it was the former’s late strike that went in off Koscielny to seal the victory.

Midfielder Elneny has struggled for game time so far this season, having to make do with a place on the bench for five of Arsenal’s seven league games so far, but he clearly has the talent to excel at the Emirates Stadium.
