Ozil featured for Arsenal in the North London derby against Tottenham away from home at White Hart Lane.
The Germany international attacking midfielder started the Premier League game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Gunners lost 2-0.
After a goalless first half, Dele Alli put Spurs in the lead in the 55th minute, and Harry Kane doubled the advantage from the penalty spot just before the hour mark.
Arsenal fans were not impressed with the performance of Ozil and want the 28-year-old to leave in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 60 points from 33 matches, six points behind Manchester City with a game in hand.
Ozil has scored seven goals and created 73 chances in 28 Premier League appearances for the North London outfit so far this season.
The Gunners will return to action next weekend when they take on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the league.
