Arsenal are reportedly interested in Tottenham Hotspur target Malcom from La Liga outfit Barcelona.

Arsenal supporters on Twitter are not confident that their club will complete the signing of Barcelona winger Malcom, who is also attracting interest from Tottenham.

The Sun claim that the Gunners asked Barcelona about potentially adding the 21-year-old attacker to their squad during talks about midfielder Denis Suarez.

It is said that despite Barca coach Ernesto Valverde ignoring him, the club still want to keep him on their books as they are willing to let him leave on loan this month in order to keep him sharp for the summer.

Arsenal are not the only London club who are interested in Malcom’s services, with Spanish outlet SPORT claiming that Barca are negotiating a deal with Tottenham over a loan deal.

Many Gunners supporters would love a player like Malcom at their club, but their fans on Twitter don’t think any deals will occur during this January transfer window.

While another fan pointed out that he doesn’t want Malcom because he’s not a ‘defender’ as he stated that Emery requires more fresh legs in the club’s backline.

Here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting on Twitter to the Malcom rumours:

Over the course of the season for Barca, Malcom has played 12 games in all competitions, scoring two goals and has only been on the pitch for 118 minutes in La Liga.

The highly-rated youngster can operate on both wings, which would suit both Arsenal and Spurs, who are vying to finish in the Premier League’s top four this season.

Both clubs have been knocked out of the domestic cup competitons, but are still in Europe – Arsenal are in the Europa League and Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in the Champions League.
