Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Everton midfielder this month.
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react to the reports emerging from Sky Sports in the final days of the January transfer window suggesting that the Gunners are interested in Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
There appears to be a question mark hanging over Gueye’s future at Goodison Park. Sky Sports reports that he has handed in a transfer request – which the Toffees deny receiving – as he looks to secure a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The reports have seemingly divided some of the Gunners fans on social media. There are some who do not believe that he would be a worthwhile addition or are not expecting the midfielder to head to the Emirates in the final hours of the window.
However, there are also those who believe that he could be an excellent signing to feature alongside Lucas Torreira in the middle of the park for Unai Emery’s side.
It seems clear that Arsenal need to improve their defensive options. And while Gueye would not solve all of those problems, some feel that he would address an important issue in Emery’s squad.
