Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 on Sunday but what did Gunners fans think of Laurent Koscielny’s performance?
Arsenal got their first win of the season under their belts this weekend as they overcame Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.
Arsene Wenger’s side took the lead through Olivier Giroud and later won the match courtesy of an own-goal from Damien Delaney, but Palace’s goal from Joel Ward saw fingers pointed at Gunners centre-back Laurent Koscielny.
The Frenchman has been a standout performer for Arsenal for quite some time now, but some fans feel he and Per Mertesacker are currently causing new signing Petr Cech to look less than his confident best
Arsenal’s lack of a quality holding midfielder also remains an issue, even with the emergence of Francis Coquelin last season, but it is up to Koscielny to ensure a more stable platform from which the club’s attacking talent can work their magic.
