New Arsenal signing made debut last night.

Gone are the days when Arsene Wenger could sign a young player for Arsenal and the addition would be welcomed with genuine excitement.
Instead the recent acquisition of Konstantinos Mavropanos had supporters groaning with more frustration, coming days after league rivals Liverpool had spent £75 million on Virgil van Dijk.
It has been this low key spending which has gradually seen Arsenal fall behind in recent years (Yaya Sanogo anyone?) and Mavropanos was derided through no fault of his own.
But what if… the Greek defender actually turns out to be very good?

Mavropanos started for Arsenal last night in their under-23 match against Manchester United, his first start at any level for the club.
He looked physically imposing compared to the opposition as Arsenal eased to victory.
Goals from Jeff Reine Adelaide and Vlad Dragomir put the Gunner two up before Eddie Nketiah added a brace to seal a 4-0 win.
Mavropanos demonstrated his ability on the ball with a neat turn inside his own half to retain possession when put under pressure in the second half.
It is early days for the 20-year-old, but Mavropanos made a good early impression for Arsenal fans, who began with scepticism.
Whether he is first team quality will one day be put to the test, but his initial performance has provided some encouragement.
Here is a look at how fans reacted on Twitter to his debut…
