Exciting Arsenal youngster divided opinion in clash with Southampton.
It is 18 months since French youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide wowed Arsenal fans with a sensational performance at the Emirates Cup.
The teenager was given a start in last night’s EFL Cup clash against Southampton, and it did not go to plan.

The day when he made Wolfsburg’s Kevin de Bruyne look silly seemed a long way away, with Reine-Adelaide lacking the quality in possession he did on his pre-season debut.
If anything he was too confident, giving the ball away and unable to threaten the Southampton defence.

By half-time Southampton were 2-0 up and Reine-Adelaide was substituted after an hour, coming off for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
While too early to judge the 18-year-old, Reine-Adelaide’s raw display was a reminder that it is too early for Arsene Wenger to expect him to make an impact against an accomplished team in a competitive fixture.
It didn’t help with Wenger selecting him as part of a rotated side rather than letting Reine-Adelaide loose alongside Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, with summer signing Lucas Perez failing to step up.
