West Ham and Everton are linked to Olivier Giroud, but Arsenal fans do not want to see the club sell.

Olivier Giroud faces an uncertain future at Arsenal with The Mirror reporting he could be moved on to make way for transfer target Alexandre Lacazette.

Giroud would not be short of takers, and The Mirror say Everton are plotting a £20 million move with West Ham also keen.

The French international may be 30, but he could be a useful addition to both teams, especially if the Toffees end up losing Romelu Lukaku by time the transfer window is over.

Giroud has been at Arsenal since 2013 and has often been harshly criticised, but much of this has been not because of what he has or hasn’t done, but because he has been asked to do too much, initially being asked to single handedly replace Robin van Persie.

He featured last season often as a substitute, and enjoyed plenty of success. In fact his Arsenal career has got better with each season, even if he has found himself playing more infrequently.

Last season he scored 12 league goals but only made 11 starts, with a further 18 appearances coming from the bench.

Giroud has learned to use his physical presence to his advantage after suffering up against big defenders in his early seasons at Arsenal, has become a big threat.

He is a different option to Arsenal’s other strikers, and this will be the case even if Lacazette signs.

Giroud is not yet agitating for a move, but Arsenal fans are worried manager Arsene Wenger will sell him anyway.

Fans have taken to Twitter to urge the Gunners not to sell the Everton and West Ham target, arguing he still will be a vital player for the club next season.
