Arsenal defeated West Bromwich Albion on Sunday but how did the Gunners’ defender Gabriel Paulista perform?
Arsenal ended their Premier League campaign with a 4-1 home victory against West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
A Theo Walcott hat-trick and a fine strike from Jack Wilshere ensured the Gunners ran out comfortable winners, with Gareth McAuley’s second-half effort a mere consolation.
Wilshere’s goal was set up by January signing Gabriel Paulista, who cushioned a fine pass to the England international, who in turn smashed it past Baggies ‘keeper Boaz Myhill.
The centre-back signed from Villarreal in the winter transfer window and he has quickly settled in North London, his performances regularly suggesting Arsenal have found another quality defender for a relatively cheap fee.
He may have featured sparingly to date, with Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker remaining the first-choice centre-back pairing for now, but his first assist for the club was yet another reminder of what a class addition he is.
