He lashed a goal in off the underside of the bar minutes after the equaliser to give Denmark a 2-1 half-time lead, before adding two more in the second half to complete a memorable hat-trick.
Denmark later added a fifth, to emphatically book their place at Russia 2018.
Tottenham fans watched on knowingly as Eriksen demonstrated why he is one of the best players in the Premier League.
He is in tremendous form and the timing for Spurs is perfect.
This weekend they face rivals Arsenal at The Emirates in a crucial North London derby.
