Arsenal came away from the Parc Des Princes with a point in their Champions League group stage opener against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening.

When the news broke that manager Arsene Wenger decided to leave out Petr Cech in favour of David Ospina, many Arsenal fans could not believe it.
They undoubtedly cast their minds back to last season’s Champions League tie with Olympiakos, where the Colombian keeper had a shocker in a surprise defeat.
Though come kick off, surely their thoughts would become more positive? They may have, but only for 42 seconds, as PSG quickly took the lead.

Ospina was picking the ball out of his net under a minute into the match as Edison Cavani headed home from close range to give Unai Emery’s side the perfect start.
However, Ospina quickly began to justify his selection ahead of the Emirates No 1.
Things improved dramatically, with the 28-year-old stopping everything that came in front of him as the French champions threatened to run away all three points.
Chance after chance beckoned, though the former Nice keeper was in inspired form.

He kept the score at 1-0 to keep Arsenal in the game and it proved crucial as despite PSG’s dominance, Alexis Sanchez popped up in the 77th minute to grab an equaliser late on.
Whilst Sanchez will be the one on the back pages on Wednesday morning, it was Ospina who emerged the hero for the fans in the red half of North London.
Many were doubting him before kick off, but as the reaction on Twitter shows, the Arsenal fans were singing his praises at full-time…
