Arsenal recently became the first club to come to an agreement with their players to take a pay cut for the next 12 months.

The economic implications are expected to be massive on all clubs and Arsenal have clearly done the right thing by keeping everyone happy with their agreement.

The Daily Mail reported that Arsenal’s owner, Stan Kroenke, was willing to pump in millions to help ease the problems in these difficult months.

That is an impressive gesture from someone who has been accused by some Arsenal fans of not being generous towards the club.

Kroenke, despite the huge economic hit on everyone, isn’t looking in bad shape if a new study is to be believed.

The study, entitled Billionaire Bonanza, has revealed that the Arsenal chief’s wealth has gone up by £323m since the start of the year.

That is incredible growth in such a tough time but, for all we know, it could well be a fraction of what he expected to turn over in the first four months of the year.

It is important to note that this wealth has come from all of Kroenke’s investments and that huge figure will not, in any case, be available for Arsenal in the coming months.

However, that hasn’t stopped some Arsenal fans from getting really excited ahead of this summer’s transfer window. Here is how a few of them reacted to the news on Twitter:
