Arsenal have let Julio Pleguezuelo leave the club.

Arsenal are busy preparing for the Europa League final in Baku, but summer transfer plans will be ongoing regardless.
The Gunners won’t have a huge budget like the rest of the top six, but Unai Emery will still hope to bring in some reinforcements to try and push for Champions League football next season.
However, some players won’t be going along for the ride, and one of those is defender Julio Pleguezuelo, who is leaving the club this summer.
The 22-year-old joined Arsenal from the Barcelona ranks in 2013, and arrived with some level of excitement as fans thought that he could have a bright future with the Gunners.
However, Pleguezuelo has only managed one appearance for Arsenal in his six years at the club, and that came against Blackpool in the EFL Cup back in October 2018.
Loan spells with Mallorca and Gimnastic didn’t strengthen his push for first-team football, and Arsenal are now letting the centre back leave on a free transfer.

Pleguezuelo already has his next move secured, as he’s heading to play for Twente in the Netherlands, and he posted a heartfelt farewell to Arsenal on Twitter last night.
Gunners fans responded, believing that Arsenal have made the wrong move in letting him go, feeling that he should have been given a chance to shine in the Arsenal first team, though some believe that he could return to the club in the coming years if he improves suitably with Twente.
