Celtic have reportedly snubbed Arsenal’s latest bid for Kieran Tierney.
Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is a man in demand, but Arsenal are finding it difficult to prise him away from Parkhead this summer.
With Nacho Monreal in his 30’s and Sead Kolasinac somewhat unconvincing, Unai Emery has made a new left back a prime target ahead of the new season.
Tierney has emerged as the top Arsenal target, but The Scottish Sun claim that Celtic have rejected the Gunners’ latest bid for their star left back.
The move is believed to total £25million – which Celtic would usually be interested in – but the structure of the deal means the Bhoys have rejected the bid.
Tierney, 22, has been a first-team star for Celtic over the last four years, racking up more than 150 appearances for the club whilst winning four league titles.
The Scottish international has unsurprisingly caught the eye, and despite some injury problems last season, Arsenal are pushing to bring him to the Premier League.
The latest bid being rejected hasn’t gone down too well though, with some Arsenal fans blasting Celtic for being ‘a joke’ and ‘hypocrites’ for rejecting £25million, which is their valuation, seemingly unaware that Celtic are within their rights to demand a payment plan that works for them.
Others are fed up of the saga and just want Arsenal to give up on Tierney, with some turning their anger towards Arsenal themselves for penny pinching and not making serious offers for their top targets.
