Arsenal have seen Emile Smith Rowe impress of late, but Mikel Arteta may still want to bring in one more playmaker.

The Gunners have lacked creativity for much of the season, though Smith Rowe has provided quick link-up play and fine movement in the final third.

One of the names regularly linked with a move to Arsenal is Emiliano Buendia, with the Gunners keen on signing the Norwich City star.

Buendia was outstanding in the Premier League last season, with only Jack Grealish, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin De Bruyne registering more key passes.

The Argentinian has excelled in the Championship this term, bagging seven goals and six assists in just 19 games, sparking Arsenal’s interest.

The Independent report that Norwich want around £40million for the 24-year-old, which is a problem for Arsenal – meaning a part-exchange deal could take place.

Arsenal would allegedly be willing to give up Reiss Nelson or Joe Willock in a deal for Buendia, though it’s unclear whether that would on loan or permanently.

Neither Nelson nor Willock have really been given consistent playing time under Arteta this season, and news of them potentially being on the move has sparked discussion.

Some feel that Willock would be the better option to let go, believing that he won’t carve out a first-team role with Arsenal any time soon.

Others think it would be ‘madness’ to let Nelson leave permanently, urging the club to not give up on the winger and keep him rather than offload him to Norwich.
