Arsenal look set to tie Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang down to a new contract, but they may still be in the market for another attacker.
Alexandre Lacazette’s future is a little unclear, and whilst Mikel Arteta has Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli, a more physical option may be wanted.
Calciomercato now claim that Arsenal want to sign Napoli striker Andrea Petagna, believing that he is ‘perfect’ for the Premier League.
Napoli allegedly rejected the approach immediately, as they want to keep hold of Petagna for the long-term having only signed him in January.
Arteta believed that Petagna would bring something different to the Arsenal attack, but whether they can actually sign him is another matter.
Petagna hit 12 goals in 36 Serie A games for SPAL last season, but signed for Napoli in January before returning to SPAL on loan.

The 25-year-old was unable to keep SPAL in Serie A, and is now set to start his Napoli career – unless Arsenal can somehow tempt them into a deal.
Some Arsenal fans are a little concerned, believing that Petagna is slow and cumbersome, noting that the club may as well just re-sign Olivier Giroud.
Others suggested a swap deal for Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and believe that this is a sign that Arteta wants to bring in a big, battering ram striker this summer.
