Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to former Gunner Shkodran Mustafi joining Levante on a free transfer.
What’s the story?
Former Arsenal central defender Mustafi has moved to Spanish club Levante on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old had been without a club since the end of last season when his short-term contract with Schalke ran out.
The Germany international moved to Schalke on a free transfer in February 2021.
Arsenal and Mustafi mutually terminated the contract, which allowed the defender to join the German club.
Schalke got relegated from the Bundesliga at the end of last season.
And now, Mustafi has joined Levante on a free transfer.
What are Arsenal fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans are astounded that Mustafi has joined Levante.
Well, some of them anyway.
Mustafi did not always have the best of times during his spell at Arsenal and developed a reputation as a defender who made too many mistakes.

The defender, who won the 2014 World Cup with Germany, cost Arsenal £35 million in transfer fee back in 2016, as reported by BBC Sport.
Mustafi made 151 appearances for the Gunners.
