Arsenal left it late to snatch a point this afternoon as they drew 1-1 at home with Fulham.
The Gunners had something of a hangover from the win over Slavia Prague on Thursday night, and turned in a pretty dour performance.
After a Dani Ceballos goal had been ruled out by VAR, Fulham took the lead when Josh Maja scored from the spot, converting after Mario Lemina had won a soft penalty.
Arsenal looked like they were for a dismal defeat, but Eddie Nketiah popped up with a last-gasp equaliser to spare Mikel Arteta’s blushes.
The result doesn’t help Arsenal’s quest for European qualification from the league, but at least it isn’t a defeat.
There wasn’t much for Arsenal fans to shout about after this game, and supporters are instead urging Arteta to pick Folarin Balogun soon.

Alexandre Lacazette went off with a second-half injury, and with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also out, fans want youngster Balogun starting – even ahead of today’s goalscorer Nketiah.
Some believe ‘this is the moment’ for Arteta to go with Balogun, believing he needs to start immediately in order to adjust to the Premier League and be ready for next season.
