If rumours are to be believed, Arsenal have started talking to Juventus about bringing Adrien Rabiot to North London.
In France, Le 10 Sport have written that negotiations have started between Juve and the Gunners, and that the transfer fee would ‘certainly’ be more than £26.8 million.
Rabiot, who earns £225,000 per week in Turin, is something of a controversial figure and it was reported that attitude problems had led Juventus to putting him on the transfer market [Mundo Deportivo].
Arsenal have been linked to a number of midfielders in recent months – including Thomas Partey – and here’s how fans of the Emirates Stadium club reacted to speculation about Rabiot on Twitter:
Mikel Arteta won’t be signing Rabiot and Partey, so if they’re genuinely in talks to sign the former then it’s because the Ghanaian powerhouse is no longer considered an option.
And you can see why.
According to The Telegraph, Partey would set the Gunners back a massive £45 million which, in this climate, is a hell of a lot of money.
Rabiot is a much cheaper alternative and you have to believe that he’s the more realistic option at this moment in time.
