Arsenal fans have called for Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli to be dropped for England’s next World Cup game.

Spurs man Alli started for Gareth Southgate’s men in their 2-1 victory over Tunisia last night, but not all Arsenal supporters were impressed with his display.

Alli started the game in fine form, and created chances in the early stages of the contest, but appeared to pick up a thigh injury early on.

The Tottenham man’s movement was restricted afterwards, and in the end it was when he was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek that England had their greatest success.

Loftus-Cheek helped win the corner which England scored their last minute winner from, and Arsenal fans have now suggested that Alli should be left on the substitutes’ bench.

England’s next match comes against Panama on Sunday, when a victory could seal their progress to the knockout stages.

Arsenal fans may not have been impressed by Alli’s contribution, but they still had to be thankful to one Tottenham player last night, as Harry Kane scored a brace to help the Three Lions pick up the victory.
