Arsenal could be loaning out Shkodran Mustaf this summer.

Arsenal fans are praying that Roma sign Shkodran Mustafi this week.
The transfer window in Italy closes on Friday and it looks like the Serie A giants are in line for a late trolley dash to bolster their defence.
According to Forza Roma, the Giallorossi want to sign the out-of-favour Arsenal defender on loan for the 2019-20 campaign.
Mustafi, a World Cup winner with Germany in 2014, has been a disastrous signing by the Gunners and the late addition of David Luiz earlier this month has pushed him further down the pecking order in North London.
Here’s how Arsenal fans reacted to the prospect of getting rid of him.
Ideally, this would be a loan with an obligation to sign him outright next summer. The quicker Arsenal are shot of Mustafi altogether, the better for all parties.
He joined the Premier League side from Valencia in 2016 but he really hasn’t worked out, not under Arsene Wenger or current boss Unai Emery.
Mustafi isn’t an abysmal footballer because, as mentioned, he’s a World Cup winner, but English football isn’t for him and even he might be champing at the bit to join Roma.
