Results from a poll we ran showed some Arsenal fans believe the club will spend big this summer.
We ran a poll over the weekend asking Arsenal fans to vote on whether they believed the club would spend big money in the summer transfer market and the results are in.
Of the 246 supporters who were willing to take part, 61% suggested they believed the Gunners would get out the cheque book out for top signings this summer with the other 39% predicting the same attitude to the transfer market which has followed the club in recent years.
The reason we decided to run the poll is because news broke over the weekend with further details of the financial strength that Arsenal enjoy.
The club reportedly has around £140 million in the bank which could be used on transfers as well as £70 million available each, and every, summer which has been created through commercial deals.
What the immense finances at the club mean are that Arsenal can afford to pay big transfer fees and put their players on competitive contracts.
It should enable the club to go after players like Mario Balotelli, Diego Costa, Julian Draxler and other high profile names which have been linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium.
All along officials at the club have asked for trust and understanding, which is exactly what they seem to be getting because the majority believe that Arsene Wenger will repeat the sort of deal which brought Mesut Ozil to the club last summer.
It will be fascinating to see how Arsenal react should they finish the season without any silverware, which could prompt some big deals in the summer.
