Arsenal defender William Saliba still hasn’t really had a chance to shine under Mikel Arteta, but Newcastle United want to sign him.
Signed from Saint-Etienne for £27million in the summer of 2019, Saliba was expected to be the future of the Arsenal defence.
However, Saliba has yet to make a single league appearance under Arteta, much to the frustration of Arsenal fans.
Another loan move for Saliba, this time to Newcastle?
Saliba immediately rejoined Saint-Etienne on loan after joining Arsenal, and after not playing in the first half of last season, he headed on loan to Nice.
The 20-year-old impressed at Nice, and may be hoping to push for first-team action at Arsenal upon his return this summer.
Now, the Daily Mail claim that Newcastle want to take Saliba on loan with Arsenal boss Arteta yet to make a decision on the defender’s immediate future.

Arsenal fans unhappy with potential Saliba exit
Arsenal fans don’t seem best pleased, suggesting that they are ‘speechless’ after hearing that Saliba could be loaned out yet again.
Some feel that he is Arsenal’s best defender and should be starting for the Gunners next season, whilst suggesting that only Arsenal could think about loaning him out.
Others believe that keeping Saliba should be high on the agenda for Arteta, and a move to Newcastle shouldn’t be considered.
