Arsenal managed to beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the weekend, with David Luiz scoring the only goal of the game.

Arsenal fans have hit back at Eddie Howe after he claimed that ‘the gap is getting smaller’ between Bournemouth at the Gunners.

Arsenal beat Bournemouth 1-0 yesterday at the Emirates, but they were not always convincing in their victory.

Bournemouth had their chances, but were not clinical enough in front of goal to claim a point.

Howe was still looking for positives after the match, but Arsenal fans have disagreed with his comments to Football London that the sides are becoming more closely matched.

Arsenal’s win over Bournemouth has lifted them up to third place in the Premier League table.

The Gunners have made a positive start to the season, in terms of league position, and are unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, are sat in 10th place in the table, after a solid start to their own campaign.

The difference between Arsenal and Bournemouth yesterday was David Luiz’s early goal, in a game which neither side played to their very best.
