Arsenal are keen on Evan Ndicka but the Eintracht Frankfurt defender won’t be leaving this month as he eyes a summer move as a free agent.
That’s according to Ryan Taylor from the Daily Express, who has been speaking on his YouTube channel.
Taylor claims that Ndicka is likely to be a man in demand given that he is a promising left-footed centre back.
Left-footed centre backs are very desirable in the modern game and Ndicka will have a number of suitors given that he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Taylor isn’t expecting a move this month though, instead believing that Ndicka is going to leave as a free agent in the summer.
Ndicka can then command high wages and a signing-on fee whilst having his pick of the club who may fancy him on a free transfer.
Taylor added that he thinks Arsenal will be in the mix to sign Ndicka at the end of the season, once he finishes up with Frankfurt.
“From what I understand, he’s expected to stay at Frankfurt until the end of the season,” said Taylor. “The reason why is that his contract will then expire, meaning he will be free to negotiate on a free transfer and effectively get more money from his next contract at his next club.”
“I do expect Arsenal to be one of the teams that have a look at landing him, permitting the finances are right and the wage demands are right, but I don’t expect anything to happen on that front this month,” he added.

Arsenal should be right in the mix for Evan Ndicka
Ndicka to Arsenal has been rumoured for a while now.
Roma have been chasing Ndicka too but Il Romanista claimed in December that the defender has already agreed to join Arsenal in the summer.
Transfer insider Dean Jones, who was speaking to Give Me Sport, even suggested that it was ‘starting to look like’ Arsenal would secure Ndicka’s signature.
Jones suggested that Ndicka was receiving offers from a number of clubs but Arsenal’s fine season so far had helped them win the race.
No pre-contract has been publicly announced and it now looks like no cash deal will be done this month either.
Arsenal should still be chasing Ndicka though, with another left-footed centre back needed at the Emirates Stadium.
Gabriel Magalhaes has been impressive but he is prone to some rash moments and doesn’t have any real competition.
Ndicka can provide that whilst being a real talent for the future at just 23, meaning he could develop into a real star.
A free transfer for Ndicka will appeal, even if there are high wages and signing-on fees involved, with Arsenal seemingly very keen.
