Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri scored a brace for England in their 2-0 victory against Northern Ireland in a qualifier for the U-17 European Championship.

The 16-year-old is reportedly a Liverpool target, with a claim suggesting that the Gunners may find it tough to keep him as he is seemingly opposed to signing a new contract.

Arsenal will perhaps be even more fearful they were of Ethan Nwaneri potentially leaving, as he bagged a brilliant brace for the England U-17 side against Northern Ireland.

The teenager, described as ‘unplayable’ by the club’s U-18 head coach Jack Wilshere via the club’s official website is regarded as one of the most prodigious talents to have been produced by the revered Hale End academy in years.

Arsenal and England U-17 starlet Ethan Nwaneri certainly showed it against Northern Ireland, especially with his opener late on in the game, where after a quick one-two, he somehow managed to squeeze the ball past the goalkeeper from a tight angle.

For his second goal of the day, Nwaneri placed the ball past the opposing team’s No.1 once again with a clinical finish that left him with no chance whatsoever.

Arsenal must try to convince the wonderkid to sign a deal

While Hale End tend to produce a host of top players constantly, it is rare for any academy to churn out a wonderkid with genuine superstar potential.

Arsenal have a potential world-class player in Ethan Nwaneri, as he showed for the England U-17 team against Northern Ireland.

Blessed with immaculate technique and an impressive physical development well beyond his years, it is no surprise that he is the youngest player to ever feature in the Premier League.

Whether Nwaneri signs a contract or not, Mikel Arteta’s side must persuade him to do so.
