Kevin Campbell has said on Stadium Astro that he is sure that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
The former Arsenal striker, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports and talkSPORT, does not think that the Gunners would be able to convince Haaland to move to the Emirates Stadium even if Martin Odegaard speaks to him.
Arsenal attacking midfielder Odegaard and Dortmund striker Haaland are Norway teammates.
Campbell said on Stadium Astro: “Would they be in for Haaland? I am sure they would love him, I am sure Mikel Arteta is speaking to Odegaard to try to speak to him, but I think that ship has sailed. I think Odegaard can’t spin him to join Arsenal.”
Erling Haaland to Arsenal unlikely
In our opinion, it is very, very unlikely that Haaland will join Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
With clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester City strongly linked with the Norway international striker, we do not think that the 21-year-old will entertain the idea of a move to Arsenal now.

Perhaps in the next few years if Arsenal have re-established themselves as regular Premier League title challengers, but no, not right now.
What no one can deny is that Haaland would be an absolutely stunning signing for Arsenal.
Or for any other club for that matter.
The Norwegian is a goal machine.
Haaland has scored 16 goals and provided five assists in just 13 Bundesliga starts so far this season.
The Dortmund no. 9 scored 27 goals and gave six assists in 27 league starts last season.
