Arsenal are chasing Djibril Sow and he may be very tempted by the move having previously talked up Granit Xhaka as a role model.
The Gunners are in the market for a new midfielder in 2023.
Mohamed Elneny is likely to move on in the summer and Arsenal would love to add midfield depth to compete with Thomas Partey.
Palmeiras ace Danilo continues to be linked but Arsenal could also look to sign one of Xhaka’s Switzerland teammates.

Arsenal target Djibril Sow loves Granit Xhaka
Bild report that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow.
Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are also understood to be interested in signing Sow in 2023.
Sow, 25, is out of contract in 2024 and the time is coming for Frankfurt to either push for a new contract or sell up before he leaves for next to nothing.
Capable as a holding or box-to-box midfielder, Sow looks ready for a Premier League move and Arsenal are interested in a deal.
Sow has been featuring for Switzerland at the World Cup, actually playing slightly ahead of Granit Xhaka and Denis Zakaria in midfield.
Sow, Xhaka and Zakaria all have something in common – they all made their first moves outside of Switzerland by signing for Borussia Monchengladbach.
Xhaka and Sow crossed paths at Gladbach and having been international teammates for some time, they could join forces at Arsenal in 2023.
Sow has talked up Xhaka in the media before, raving about the Arsenal man earlier in his career.
Speaking to Sport1, Sow indicated that Xhaka was a ‘role model’ and a ‘leader’ to him having witnessed him for club and country.
Sow added that he has never really seen anybody have such a presence on the pitch quite like Xhaka, holding him in very high esteem.
That means Sow would surely be interested in joining up with Xhaka at Arsenal and that kind of personal connection could help Arsenal see off the competition for his signature.
