Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal did not make an offer to Brighton and Hove Albion for Yves Bissouma before the midfielder joined Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, according to Goal.
Arsenal linked with new Tottenham player Yves Bissouma
As Tottenham announced this week, Bissouma is leaving Brighton for Spurs this summer.
The transfer is subject to the granting of a work permit.
Goal have reported that Spurs had to pay £25 million as transfer fee for the Mali international midfielder.
The same report has claimed that although Arsenal have long been interested in Bissouma, they did not actually make an offer to Brighton.

Goal have reported that Arsenal have ‘monitored’ the 25-year-old ‘in recent seasons’, but they have never held talks with Brighton.
The Gunners main midfield target this summer is Leicester City star Youri Tielemans.
Big signing
In our view, Yves Bissouma is a very good signing for Tottenham Hotspur, and the midfielder could prove Arsenal wrong.
The Mali international is a very combative midfielder who can also drive the team forward.
Bissouma has impressed Gary Lineker and Gary Neville among others, and working under Antonio Conte at Tottenham could only help them get better and raise his game to another level.
