Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are reacting to Michael Oliver being appointed referee for Sunday’s North London derby with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Emirates Stadium plays host this weekend as the Gunners and Jose Mourinho’s side renew hostilities once again.

Tottenham won the reverse fixture 2-0 and the man taking charge of this upcoming clash is Oliver.

Arsenal have only won one of the five North London clashes that this official has presided over – and it came way back in 2013.

Here’s how some fans of the Emirates Stadium side reacted to the appointments, with Paul Tierney also on VAR duties:

Tottenham might have a very slight advantage over their neighbours.

Mourinho’s troops are at home to Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League tonight and Arsenal are away to Olympiacos in the same competition.

That means that the Lilywhites don’t have to leave the country – or the city – ahead of facing the Gunners in four days from now.
