Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs is reportedly on the radar of West Ham United and Newcastle United.

A recent report in The Daily Star credited West Ham United with an interest in Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs in the summer transfer window.

It was claimed that West Ham could make a move for Gibbs, who is reported to earn around £60,000 per week as salary at Arsenal.

The London Evening Standard had claimed that Gibbs wants £80,000 per week as salary at his new club.

The Mirror reported of Newcastle United’s interest in the left-back last month, and stated that the Gunners valued him at £15 million.

It has now been reported by The Sunday People that the North London outfit now have lowered their demands and want £8m as transfer fee for the England international. The report has also claimed that the 27-year-old wants £70,000 per week as salary.

Could this latest development be good for West Ham and Newcastle? Probably. After all, it seems that Gibbs would cost £7m less than previously thought, and his salary demands also appear to have come down by £10,000 a week.
