Arsenal are in the mix to sign Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise this summer, but he could have been a Tottenham Hotspur player a long, long time ago.
The Gunners already have exciting attacking midfield players and wingers with Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka thriving.
There could be another one coming in this summer though with Arsenal keen on adding Palace talent Olise.
The Sun reported earlier this month that Arsenal are looking to sign Olise at the end of the season after a fine season at Palace.
The Eagles paid £8million to sign Olise from Reading last summer and that currently looks like an absolute bargain.
Olise has bagged four goals and nine assists in 27 games for Palace, showing off silky dribbling and creativity in the final third.
At just 20, Olise certainly fits the Arsenal youth movement. He’s bright, exciting, full of potential and playing under an Arsenal legend in Patrick Vieira.
Whilst the ‘sensational’, Olise could end up on the red side of North London, it could have been all so different for the French youngster.
The Daily Mail report that Olise once scored a stunning volley from the halfway line for Hayes Under-7’s, sending a goalkeeper’s clearance back of his head and into the net.

After the goal hit the net, it’s claimed that a Tottenham scout showed an interest and wanted to meet Olise’s family.
Tottenham seemingly wanted to bring Olise to North London but weren’t able to make it happen.
Instead, Olise ended up in the ranks of Chelsea, Manchester City and Reading before heading to Palace.
Oh how Tottenham would no doubt love a young prodigy with Olise’s talent now.
Olise could have emerged through the Tottenham ranks just like Harry Kane, albeit with a little more flair!
These stories are such sliding doors moments, and after Tottenham identified a top young talent in the 2000’s, he could end up turning out for Arsenal.
