It looks like Arsenal might have to find a long-term replacement for Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
Football London reported a couple of weeks ago that the Gunners are open to selling the France international once the next transfer window opens.
And if rumours are believed, Arsenal are interested in signing Andre Silva as his replacement.
According to Calciomercato, the Eintracht Frankfurt hitman is on the North London club’s radar and, going by his goals, he’s potentially a huge upgrade on Lacazette.
This season alone, Silva has netted 20 goals in 23 appearances for the Bundesliga side, compared to only 11 in 30 for Lacazette.
Overall, the 25-year-old has netted 36 goals since arriving in Germany 18 months ago for £33 million, whereas the Arsenal hitman has 42 goals in his last three seasons at the Emirates Stadium.
Silva is four years younger and clearly specialises in scoring goals.
If Arsenal can get this done, they might never look back.
