Arsenal could reportedly cash in on Alexandre Lacazette in January.

According to a report from 90 Min, there are a number of clubs – including West Ham United – interested in signing the Gunners hitman, as well as teams from abroad.

Lacazette is out of contract at Arsenal next summer and when they sell up, they’re set for a huge loss.

How much did Lacazette cost?

Arsene Wenger spent £46.5 million [BBC Sport] on bringing the French marksman to North London from Lyon in 2017.

But this is a player who turned 30 years old in May and the truth is that the Emirates Stadium club are set for a massive loss on the forward.

Lacazette is a good player but 50 goals in 129 Premier League appearances is only a decent return.

He isn’t a prolific number nine and his age, combined with the fact he’ll be out of contract in six months by the time January comes around, means the Gunners really will be lucky to make an eight-figure sum this winter.

Selling for less than £10 million is a genuine possibility – particularly if it’s to a Premier League club because, as mentioned, his record isn’t exceptional.

Arsenal may have already showed their hand too because ESPN has reported that Mikel Arteta and Edu have no intention of offering him a new deal, which weakens them in terms of negotiations with other clubs.

Relative to what he cost, this is a player who the North Londoners are going to lose for absolute peanuts, at best.
