Arsenal are moving for Gremio talent Bitello – a player who has now been likened to former Gunners flop Willian.
Gremio talent Bitello could become the next Brazilian signing for Arsenal with talks now open.
That is according to 90Min, who claim that Arsenal are in talks to snap up Bitello this summer.
It’s stated that Gremio are happy to let the 23-year-old move on for £8.5million plus a decent sell-on clause.
Negotiations are ongoing but there is allegedly belief that a deal can be struck this week.
Arsenal scouts are understood to have watched Bitello in action for Gremio against Bahia on Wednesday night.
The Gunners are now accelerating with a deal for Bitello and an agreement may be in place within days.
Arsenal fans are expecting to see Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber arrive in the coming days but Bitello may not be far behind.

Bitello likened to former Arsenal flop Willian
90Min’s report also claims that sources indicate Bitello has a similar style of play to Willian.
That may send shudders down the spines of more than a few Arsenal supporters.
Arsenal pounced to sign Willian on a free transfer from Chelsea in 2020, believing he could make a big impact.
The move was a disaster as Willian struggled and Arsenal ripped up his contract after just a year at the club.
Willian headed back to Brazil with Corinthians but impressed in the Premier League last season with Fulham.
Bitello usually plays as an attacking midfielder or on the right flank, just like Willian, and Arsenal may believe that he can provide the creativity wanted from Willian in the first place.

Bitello can join Brazilian contingent at the Emirates Stadium
If Bitello does secure his move to Arsenal, he will be joining a strong contingent of Brazilian players.
The three Gabriels – Magalhaes, Martinelli and Jesus – are all vital players for Arsenal.
Then there is Marquinhos, who joined Arsenal from Sao Paulo last summer and appears to have potential.
It may well be that Edu keeps striking deals for promising young players over in his native Brazil with Bitello potentially joining Martinelli and Marquinhos in that regard.
If Bitello can enjoy even half of Martinelli’s success at Arsenal, Edu will be praised for finding another gem.
