Arsenal are now considering selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at an 89% loss, after Al Nassr made an offer to sign the striker on loan with an obligation for a permanent transfer.
That’s according to CBS, who report the Saudi Arabian giants submitted their offer to the Gunners on Tuesday. The Riyadh-based club are keen to capitalise on the Gabon forward’s exile in north London after losing the captain’s armband.
Mikel Arteta stripped Aubameyang of the captaincy following his latest disciplinary breach last month. The situation, plus the 32-year-old’s involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations, has meant he last played for the Emirates Stadium natives at Everton back on December 6.

Al Nassr hope to sign Aubameyang on loan from Arsenal for the rest of the season with an obligation to complete a permanent transfer. The deal would be worth $9m (£6.5m), and Gunners Technical Director Edu is currently assessing the suitability of the offer.
Arsenal are yet to respond to Al Nassr, but are open to losing Aubameyang in the January transfer window. He is their highest-earner on £350k-a-week, per the Daily Mail. They also noted intermediaries were alerting European clubs of his availability earlier this month.
Arsenal may sell Aubameyang to Al Nassr at 11% of his former record transfer fee
Arsenal accepting Al Nassr’s offer would see Aubameyang leave north London four-years after his £56m transfer from Borussia Dortmund. He would also depart at just 11% of the former club-record fee then-Gunners boss Arsene Wenger paid the Bundesliga outfit.

Aubameyang has lost the early shine displayed at the Emirates this season, however. After netting 22 goals in each of his first two complete seasons, he struck 10 in 29 games last term. The forward also only has four goals after 14 appearances so far this season.
The attacker – who Arteta called ‘incredible’, via BeIN Sport, last March – also last found the net on October 22. Aubameyang went six appearances without scoring before his axe.
