Manchester City have joined Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham in the race to sign Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.
Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace celebrates victory after the Premier League match against Leicester City.
Wilfried Zaha is becoming something of a coveted player in the Premier League with the Mirror reporting Manchester City have now joined Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign him.
This is as well as Tottenham Hotspur reigniting their interest in Zaha from a couple of years ago – according to football.london – but which club would be the best fit for the Crystal Palace attacker?
Arsene Wenger, manager of Arsenal, looks on during the Premier League match against West Ham United.
Arsenal
With Alexis Sanchez out of contract next summer and likely to leave, the Gunners are looking for reinforcements going forward and particularly out wide.
However, after dropping into the Europa League for the first time under manager Arsene Wenger’s guidance last season, the Gunners perhaps don’t represent the best stage for success in England anymore.
Chelsea
Getting into the starting XI at the Blues would be tricky for Zaha and the 25-year-old knows how frustrating that can be at a big club after an unsuccessful spell at Manchester United.
Eden Hazard is a certain starter so the Ivory Coast international would be battling with the likes of Pedro and Willian for a place in the team.
Josep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, looks on during the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester City
Starting games for a talented side would also be a problem at City, although boss Pep Guardiola favours a rotation system and therefore chances could be more forthcoming.
Also, with the Citizens absolutely flying at the top of the table currently they probably represent the best chance of winning silverware.
Tottenham
Struggles so far this term somewhat undermine all the brilliant work Mauricio Pochettino has done during his time in charge and if Spurs can bounce back then they could offer a great opportunity to Zaha.
Aside from their North London rivals, Tottenham probably have the best opportunity for the Ivorian to cement a starting role but whether they could now beat their illustrious rivals to his signature is questionable.
