Moises Caicedo fears he won’t be able to join Arsenal or Chelsea this summer out of a belief they would prefer Declan Rice.

That’s according to the Daily Mail as the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder continues to push for a transfer.

Arsenal have already launched a £60million offer for Caicedo, which Brighton rejected on Friday.

It’s stated that Arsenal are now returning with a £70million offer, which is still short of Brighton’s £80million asking price.

Caicedo has publicly indicated that he wants to move on and is keen to make a switch before the transfer deadline this week.

It’s stated that Caicedo fears he won’t be able to make a move to Arsenal or Chelsea at the end of the season.

Both clubs are expected to be interested in signing Declan Rice and Caicedo seemingly has a fear that he won’t be quite as in-demand when Rice is on the market.

Arsenal target Moises Caicedo has nothing to worry about

Look, we get it; Caicedo wants his big move.

Kids emerging from Ecuador don’t often have the chance to earn a huge move to Arsenal or Chelsea, and he doesn’t want to let it pass him by.

Yet if this fear about Rice is true, Caicedo – hailed as ‘incredible’ by teammate Adam Webster – shouldn’t worry quite so much.

For one, Sky Sports report that Arsenal want to sign Rice from West Ham this summer whether or not they secure a deal for Caicedo right now.

Even if Brighton stand firm in the coming days, Arsenal may still push to sign both players at the end of the season.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea may go for Rice in the summer, but there is always the prospect of the loser in that race going for Caicedo instead.

Either way, we think Caicedo will get his big move; it may not be before the January deadline but come the summer, he would be just as in-demand as he is right now.
