Lech Poznan dynamo Dawid Kownacki is being targeted by Arsenal.
Arsenal have an excellent record of bringing through top talent – and that talent is often sourced from around Europe.
The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy and Wojciech Szczesny all came through at Arsenal after moving from their homelands at a young age.
And now they look set to bring in a compatriot of Szczesny’s – according to reports in Poland.
It is being reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Lech Poznan attacking midfielder Dawid Kownacki.
The 17-year-old is one of the highest rated talents in his country – and broke into the Lech first-team last year after impressing at youth level.
Arsenal can reportedly have him for as little as €160k as he has not yet signed a professional deal – quite an outstanding price for a player that Lech want to slap a €5 million asking price on if he signs a new deal at the club.
Arsenal would apparently be willing to sign the player before sending him back out on loan to Lech Poznan
Kownacki is wanted by a host of other teams and you can see why – he already has two goals for the club in just eight games and last month starred for Poland’s under-17s.
He might not be the type of big name signing that Arsenal fans will still hope to see – but he would certainly be another one for the future if they got their man.
Here he is in action …
