Arsenal have high hopes for Charlie Patino and it now looks like he will be given chances to shine in the Europa League next season.

The Gunners have missed out on the Champions League despite hammering Everton 5-1 on the final day of the Premier League season.

Tottenham’s win at Norwich sends Arsenal into the Europa League, which is a huge disappointment having come so close to a top-four finish.

Arsenal must now prepare for action on Thursday nights and that means Mikel Arteta juggling his squad for a busy schedule.

Many may think that will mean plenty of new signings this summer but Arteta may have other ideas.

Arsenal have high hopes for Charlie Patino

The Sun report that Arteta does want key signings but is willing to use the Europa League to blood some talented youngsters.

Patino is the star attraction with the playmaker backed to become a superstar at Arsenal.

It’s claimed that Arteta wants to give first-team action to Patino, Omari Hutchinson and Miguel Azeez in Europa League group stage games.

We have previously seen Bukayo Saka emerge off the back of Europa League success whilst Folarin Balogun has already featured in the competition.

Patino, 18, has already featured twice for Arsenal’s first team and even scored against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup back in December.

The gifted playmaker looks destined for stardom and Arteta clearly rates him highly to be planning to use him in the Europa League.

Midfielder Azeez has been backed to shine for some time now but struggled on loan at Portsmouth last season.

This could be a big season for Azeez as Arsenal need to see some development from him.

Hutchinson has been on the bench for the Arsenal first team for some time now. The midfielder has racked u six goals and six assists in 17 Premier League 2 games this season.

It’s not ideal for Arsenal to be in the Europa League, but it could allow some hot prospects to shine.
