Arsenal star gave a diplomatic answer when quizzed on Manchester City and Chelsea stars.
Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla showed himself to be a true gentleman, when asked to name the better player between Cesc Fabregas and David Silva.
Cazorla was taking part in a question and answer session videoed by the Premier League, and was thrown the question in between light-hearted quizzes on pre-match superstition and his favourite goal.
The Arsenal man did not commit either way, between his two international teammates, responding:
“Its difficult to say. I’m a big fan of David, he’s a great player.
“I think my game is closer to David Silva’s style, but its very difficult to choose between the two.”
Cazorla did not go into any further detail, not did he praise Fabregas specifically, a player who he had urged publicly to join him at Arsenal in the summer.
That was not a decision which panned out, with Arsenal deciding not to sign him from Barcelona, only to see him land up at rivals Chelsea, who they will face this weekend.
With Cazorla unwilling to go into any detail on the pair, here are a few statistics on the pair this season, to see how they stack up.
| Position | Team | Goals | Goal Assist | Total Att Assist | Passing Accuracy | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| David Silva | MF | Man City | 1 | 2 | 16 | 87% | 503 |
| Cesc Fàbregas | MF | Chelsea | 0 | 6 | 20 | 90% | 531 |
