Arsenal want Carlos Soler and could launch a move for the midfielder if they receive any kind of encouragement from Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s according to claims on the France Blue 100% PSG podcast and as noted by Paris SG Infos with PSG potentially having to sell players for FFP reasons.
Fringe players may be first to go and Soler finds himself under threat of being axed.
The Spaniard only joined PSG over the summer as they struck a deal worth around €21million (£18million) for the Valencia star.
Soler is yet to nail down a starring role for PSG though and has only started four league games and one Champions League game.
Soler has still managed three goals and two assists in 12 outings for PSG but the Ligue 1 giants could sell him on.
It’s suggested that Arsenal would be interested in Soler if he became available in 2023.

This rumour is no great surprise.
Sky Sports reported in March 2020 that Arteta is a keen admirer of Soler and wanted to bring him to Arsenal.
Spanish outlet El Desmarque then claimed in January 2021 that Arsenal hadn’t forgotten about Soler and were still keen.
Almost two years on, Arsenal are again being linked with Soler, who has been described as ‘the complete midfielder’.
Soler usually plays as a central or attacking midfielder and is no stranger to playing in wide areas after his time at Valencia.
Think about what Arteta asks of his midfielders; Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard get high and wide to support the attack.
Arsenal use Fabio Vieira in that role too but all three are left footers and Arteta may fancy a right footer to play that role.
That’s where Soler could come in, using all that experience of playing centrally, as a number 10 and in wide areas to play that specific role perfectly.
A move to Arsenal does make some sense and it would see him mirror Arteta in terms of playing for PSG and Arsenal.
The one pause for us is that if Soler was available for just £18million over the summer, why didn’t Arsenal move then?
Other than that, we can absolutely understand why Arteta is looking at Soler once again with Arsenal looking to kick on again in 2023.
